QuickTone Will Not Install Or Find My Device

Last updated

Symptom

QuickTone will not install, will not open, or does not see your NUX product.

Applies To

QuickTone editor on Windows and macOS.

Quick Fix

Use the QuickTone version listed for your product and firmware. For example, MG-30 Gen2 firmware only works with the Gen2 QuickTone (V2.6.7.16 on the official site). Each product's Support Hub links the right version.

Work Through These Steps

  1. Download QuickTone for your operating system from your product's Support Hub.
  2. Delete or archive older QuickTone versions before installing the new one.
  3. Windows: install the NUX ASIO driver: V5.30.0 for Windows 10 and later or V3.29.0 for Windows 7.
  4. macOS: the official NUX site lists no driver for macOS, so go straight to the next step.
  5. Connect with the USB cable that came with the product, and plug in its power adapter.
  6. Try a different USB port directly on the computer, not a hub.
  7. Restart the computer and the product, then open QuickTone again.

When It Is A Fault

If QuickTone still cannot see the product on a second computer, send a Firmware Support request.

Still Not Working?

Send a Firmware Support request with your operating system, QuickTone version, current and target firmware versions, and the step where it fails. A screenshot of any error helps.
