FAQs
What is the difference between a NUX 2.4 GHz and a 5.8 GHz wireless guitar system?
The simple rule of thumb 👍
Choose 2.4 GHz if:
- You need stability at a longer range
- You play at home or in simple setups
- Your venue has a few wireless devices
NUX Wireless Guitar Systems with 2.4 GHz band: B-1 Lite, B-2 Plus, B-5RC, B-8
Choose 5.8 GHz if:
- You play live gigs with lots of Wi-Fi
- You want less interference
- Distance to the receiver is moderate
NUX Wireless Guitar Systems with 5.8 GHz band: C-5RC
What guitars work with NUX wireless guitar systems?
All NUX Wireless guitar systems work with most guitars and all pickup types.
Please note that certain active pickups will require a 1/4 TRS-to-TS mono adaptor for the wireless unit to work properly.
We recommend the C-5RC as it works well with:
- Electric guitars
- Acoustic-electric guitars
- Bass guitars
- Ukuleles
They all support active, passive, piezo, and magnetic pickups.
Is there a noticeable latency with the NUX wireless guitar systems?
Latency is very low (under ~5 ms), which is generally imperceptible while playing.
Do NUX guitar wireless systems pair automatically?
Yes, all NUX wireless systems feature automatic pairing:
- Turn on the transmitter and receiver.
- They connect automatically within seconds.
If ever you're having pairing issues, you can manually do the pairing sequence by:
- Turn off both the transmitter and receiver.
- Make sure that both units are close to each other.
- Simply hold the POWER ON button of both units at the same time.
- The LED will blink indicating that the auto re-pairing is done.
